I am glad to see that you are doing well and continue to podcast from behind the Great Firewall. Now I will say that I am sort of a reformed Snake-esque music man. My interests lie elsewhere. However, the best introduction to ANY song is either the beginning to Unbroken Chain or Blank Frank (by Brian Eno). So kudos on a wonderful show.

I will look that Eno song up - kind of electronica I would guess? Anyway, not to parse words, but to be reformed you would first have to be guilty and Original Sin aside, Rt Rev., listening to authentic music is no damn sin! Love the Great Firewall comment - never saw it coming.

recently, i wrote about music and things like my affinity for power bass and creative drumming and snappy guitar work and cover tunes and great musicians' ability to lift us to another place...
so, for me personally, it's totally cool timing and very enjoyable to hear the beautiful bass riffs of 'Unbroken Chain', the live sound of classic Cream and how it relates to the original Skip James version... heheee, and, 'tis very nice use of mood-modulation by taking us out on the distinctive & unmistakable sound of funky, change-up-timing of Steely Dan and their upbeat vibe... ~
